This is the story of a 375-pound black bear that seems to have strayed far from home on Florida’s Alligator Point.
When wildlife officials were called, he was seen walking through the rubbish of the locals.

They planned to catch the bear and return it safely to its home in the jungle, but not everyone planned.
Once the bear was identified, they tried to anesthetize it with a tranquilizer dart so they could take it home safely.

The shot successfully hit the bear, but unfortunately he panciked and took off into the water.

The problem was that he was getting drowsy now because the tranquilizers were going in.

Then he couldn’t even swim and started drowning, thankfully though Adam Warwick, the Wildlife Commission’s biologist, was there to lend a hand.

Without hesitation, he jumped into the water, grabbed the 375lb bear and dragged it to shore.

The bear was almost completely unconscious at the time.

Keeping the bear’s head above the water, he struggled to stay afloat.

He called a tracker to move the bear.

Back at the bear’s house, he looks happy and comes back to normal, he has no idea he was on the verge of death!
What a hero, well done Adam!
