Did you know that wild animals cannot survive in the wild without the care of their mother? They need their mother more than any of us. However, some have been abandoned by their mothers. They wander about in search of their mother and food. They have to fight for their survival. Some may wait to get help, but some may not.
In this story, two-month-old orphaned bear baby Cisna is lucky. The poor little girl was spotted in the Bezkazadi Mountains by a man who alerted the nearby Forrester Station. She was almost hungry at the time because she could barely stand on her own two feet.
When no sign of Mama Bear was found, the kind man called the “state forests” for help. The organization’s staff came and took the poor bear with them. They then moved him to the Safe Animal Rehabilitation Center in Permisel, a protected animal rehabilitation center. Here, the little bear was medically examined and given special treatment.
Dr. Anders Fedakzinski and his son, Radoslav Fedakzinski, and another doctor, Jakub Kotwicz, were in charge of caring for the poor little girl.
She had helped all kinds of animals before, so she worked hard to keep the baby alive. Thankfully, he started eating and got stronger.
Everyone hoped that when the child grows up without a mother, it will be left back in the forest. However, no center in Poland was able to deal with this little bear.
The bear cub was eventually taken to the Poznan Zoo. The Directorate of Environmental Protection consulted with experts before making this decision.
Dr. Radoslov had a good relationship with his dear little friend at that time. When the baby bear left for Poznan, he cried like a baby. He also promised himself and Cessna that he would set up a wildlife center. He didn’t want to see wild animals like Cessna being sent to the zoo.
Thankfully, Cessna is currently thriving at the Poznan Zoo, healthy and happy. He finds his best friend, Bari Dog, who helps him overcome loneliness and anxiety.
